Q'ero Ch'unchu Mestana Cloth

160.00

An antique, handwoven Mesatana cloth by a woman in the village of Hatun Q'eros, Peru. The fibers are made of 100% alpaca and naturally dyed using plants. This design carries the energy of Ch'unchu, a traditional hourglass figure in Q'ero weaving that symbolizes the mythical being who was the giver of knowledge and founder of the Inkan civilization. For use as a Mesa cloth or Altar cloth. This cloth shows signs of wear as it is antique and was used in ceremony or during spiritual practices. May be hand washed.

Measures: 20 x 23 inches
