An antique, handwoven Despacho cloth by a woman in the village of Ausangate, Peru. Woven with a unique blend of plant dyed sheep fibers in natural shades featuring corner tassels and a traditional pattern symbolizing sacred mountain, Apu Ausangate. Unkhunas, or despacho cloths, are used ceremonially for carrying a completed despacho offering to the sacred fire for ceremonial burning and honoring Mother Earth. Use cloth to carry your despacho offering, small sacred items or as an Altar cloth. This cloth shows signs of wear as it is antique and was used in ceremony or during spiritual practices. May be hand washed.
