Introducing: Spirit Medicine
Many of you know of my love for the mystical, for Mother Earth and the natural world through my shamanic healing work. Aligning our energy body with the spiritual and living forces of nature. I'm currently expanding my studies as I partake in a course on Biodynamic Agriculture through the Biodynamic Association, based on the lectures and writings of Austrian philosopher Rudolf Steiner. For me Shamanism flows on the wings of Biodynamics.
"It works consciously with the life forces and other subtle energies active in nature, Biodynamics understands the 'alchemy' of nature as a materialization of spirit and a spiritualization of matter."
I'm excited to share that this incoming wisdom inspiried me to create a new section of offerings called - SPIRIT MEDICINE. These monthly offerings will explore the "spirit of energy" within the mineral, plant and animal kingdoms. I am drawn to the word SPIRIT as Rudolf Steiner explains in his book Theosophy, "By spirit, is meant what becomes apparent in us when we look at the things of the world. Through the spirit, the outer world is revealed to us in a higher way. Although it is true that the secrets of the outer world disclose themselves inside us, in the spirit we step outside of ourselves and let the things themselves tell us what is significant for them, rather than for us."
SPIRIT MEDICINE will share expressions of the spirit of various minerals, plants and animals.
Through Biodynamics, we learn that each of these kingdoms is aligned with particular forces of energy. "We can observe the human being in the same way that we observe minerals, plants and animals, and as human beings, we are related to these three other forms of existence. Like the minerals, we build up our bodies out of natural substances; like the plants, we grown and reproduce, like the animals, we perceive the objects around us and develop inner experiences based on the impressions they make on us."
When we break this down, we are able to acknowledge that various fields of energy exist - the Physical (as it corresponds with minerals), the Etheric (as it corresponds with plants), and the Astral (as it corresponds with animals). Therefore, as we explore these 3 kingdoms of nature we will simultaneously be deepening our understanding of subtle anatomy - the physical, etheric and astral bodies.
~ Our first offering will begin in November and explore the spirit of Echinacea Purpurea ~
