What if I told you, the way to healing yourself is through connecting with nature. While this may seem very basic, in fact, our daily lives are structured in the container of our modern-day world and disconnection from nature may happen rather effortlessly. When we become unwell, perhaps our biggest challenge is to make the changes required to get well again. Changes to re-structure your daily life so that your connection with nature becomes your priority. This is your medicine. When you connect with nature through the five elements, you are supporting your body's innate capacity to heal itself. Here is a look at a few of the suggestions I share in the Puakai Healing Daily-Care Booklet that I give to my clients after an individual session.

spend time in natural sunlight watching the sunrise and sunset. Do not do this standing behind glass, or wearing reading glasses, contact lenses or sunglasses as the enegy of the light is absorbed by your eye and skin. do not wear sunblock as this blocks your skin from absorbing the light energy. it is advised to have as much bare skin exposed as possible. Be mindful of the sun between, 10am - 4pm. i suggest this i-phone app called dminder, to track your sun exposure and be mindful not to burn your skin.
