Maggie's Soul Path
Today I share my truth, walking on this Earthly plane as a modern woman living in deep reverence for indigenous wisdom and for those who have come before me, my ancestor's. My teacher's and the lineage of energy healing and sacred ceremony I honor is rooted in the Q'ero lineage of the High Andes, Peru and the Shipibo lineage of the Amazonia, Peru.
I walk my path as an Energy Medicine Practitioner in honor of these indigenous beings, their ancient healing arts and the power of their energy medicine which has deeply impacted my wellbeing. My intent in following this path is for personal healing, to support the healing of fellow human beings, to live in harmony with the natural world and to support the healing of Pachamama, the feminine spirit who is Mother Earth. I believe all human beings are capable of healing and my focus is working within the subtle energy field to support the body's innate capacity to heal itself and to support the individual in their path of spiritual evolution.
These native teachings were passed onto me in love, recognizing that every human being carries within them a seed of potential that is waiting to be awakened and nurtured. We are all One, there is no separation or ownership in the Andean Tradition. We are here, united across the globe, working together for the healing of all living beings and Mother Earth. When I sit in ceremony in North America these vibrations heal my brother's and sister's in South America and when my brother's and sister's in South America sit in ceremony, their healing vibrations touch us in North America. This is Ayni - the fundamental law of reciprocity in the Andean Mystical Tradition.
I was initiated into the Andean path by Juan Nuñez del Prado in the Inka tradition and I am Mesa carrier of the Q'ero lineage of the Andes. My formal training honors the lineage of three Andean Master's Don Benito Qoriwaman, Don Melchor Desa and Don Andes Espinosa. The Karpays, energetic initiations/transmissions, I have received are the seeds from which an individual may develop new ways of being. My seeds have grown and inform me energetically as I am dedicated to nurturing them through daily practices.
When I am in Peru and in the indigenous mountain village of Q'ero, there is deep respect for those individuals who carry a Mesa. This is seen as a responsibility to your community and it is honored by fellow Paqos, Andean healers. A Mesa or Misha, the ancient Quechua word for Mesa, is a medicine bundle consisting of a handwoven cloth of natural threads which contains power objects from sacred sites around the world and medicine stones called Khuyas used for moving energy in service of healing. These stones have been instrumental in my personal healing and have been blessed by my teachers and the medicine men and women of the Q'ero Nation.
In November 2015, I co-created NUNA: Journeys of Spirit with Hannah Rae Porst which is a biannual spiritual journey and expedition with the intent to support personal healing and to be of service to the wellbeing of indigenous communities. I am a member of the Flower Essence Society which educates and promotes plant research on the therapeutic effects of flower essences. I use FES Demeter Certified Biodynamic flower essences as vibrational remedies to support the healing process. I am currently studying Biodynamic Agriculture based on the spiritual science of Rudolf Steiner through the Biodynamic Association. I am developing a deeper relationship to the Cosmic and Earth influences as well as learning about biodynamic preparations, composting, soil science, botany, crop management, animal husbandry, planetary influences in nature and the role of food and nutrition. In 2011 I was initiated in an individual Puja Ceremony to practice Transcendental Meditation, a Vedic form of mantra meditation founded by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
