Join us in the days leading up to Earth Day for an intimate shamanic healing ceremony to connect with your soul and the soul of the land. We will gather in a place of natural beauty, honoring the spirit of the land and supporting one another as we awaken to the truth and divine essence that lives within. Our ceremony will be held in the lush valley of Ojai at The Ojai Foundation's Land Sanctuary, a 40-acre sanctuary with the intent to "foster practices that awaken connection with self, others, and the natural world."
Soul Retrieval is an individual ceremony supported by a group setting - as we call back soul pieces that have left us and traveled to Pachamama for protection. It is believed that when we suffer shock from an emotional or physical trauma a part of our soul, our light essence, flees the body in order to survive the experience. This ceremony is for individuals who seek to live in wholeness and spiritual harmony, to live in alignment with their soul and the natural world. Soul Retrieval Ceremony may also be used for the healing of our planet - to restore wholeness to sections of land that may carry imprints of shock. This ceremony was passed onto Maggie through the lineage of the Q'ero people of Peru and the modern-day teachings of her mentor and teacher, Sandra Ingerman. This ceremony involves the use of native sound (including drum, rattle + bells), chanting, and the smoke of sacred plant spirit, Palo Santo.
Nestled in the Topatopa Mountains, Ojai is surrounded by orange groves and lays approximately 15 miles inland from the Pacific sea coast. Early inhabitants of the valley were the Chumash Indians, a maritime coastal tribe who believed the land and mountains held unique healing properties. The name "Ojai" comes from the Ventureño Chumash word ʼawhaý meaning "Crescent Moon". Our day will open with a Land Blessing Ceremony where we will honor the native ones who first cared for this land and radiate our love to those who are tending it today. Together we will enjoy a nourishing vegetarian meal, supporting the local, organic agriculture of the Ojai valley. Please view our schedule below.
"Say not, 'I have found the path of the Soul.' Say rather, 'I have met the Soul walking upon my path.'
For the Soul walks upon all paths. The Soul walks not upon a line, neither does it grow like a reed.
The Soul unfolds itself, like a lotus of countless petals." (Kahil Gibran)
